This is very simple recipe,it takes 30 minutes.
Ingredients:
Basmati Rice - 2 cups
Water - 3 cups
Mixed Vegetables - 1 and 1/2 cups
Onion - 1 (cut lenghtwise)
Coriander and mint leaves - handful
Oil - 3 table spoons
Coriander Powder - 1/4 teaspoon(optional)
Cumin Powder - 1/4 teaspoon(optional)
Chili Powder - 1/4 teaspoon
salt
Spices:
Cloves - 5 no
Cardamom - 2 no
Cinnamon stick - 2 (small one)
Kala jeera - 1 teaspoon
Preparation:
- In a sauce pan heat oil and add spices except kala jeera. Fry for 1 minute,take from oil and keep aside.
- Add onions fry till they turn light brownish color.
- Add mixed vegetables,coriander and mint leaves. Fry for just 5 minutes.
- In a rice cooker add washed basmati rice, water,fried spices,kala jeera,fried vegetables,chili powder,coriander and cumin powder,salt.
- Switch on the rice cooker.
